PEARL RIVER, N.Y. — Pearl River resident Jacqueline (Dunn) Chesman died on Thursday, June 2. She was 79.
She was born in the Bronx on April 8, 1937, to Thomas and Eleanor Dunn.
Chesman attended Holy Rosary Grammar School, St. Simon Stock High School, and Thorpe Secretarial School.
She worked as the secretary for the Orangetown Detective Bureau.
After her retirement in 2007, she volunteered at Nyack Hospital, Orangetown Historical Society, Dominican Convent in Sparkill and was a member of the Pearl River Senior Club.
Chesman is survived by her twin sister, Sister Marilyn Dunn; her brothers, Martin and Kenneth Dunn; her children, Karen Morrin, Scott Chesman and Christopher Chesman; and her grandchildren, Cayla and Trevor Morrin, as well as Linnea, Ellie, Jack, and Mya Chesman.
Chesman was predeceased by her husband, Jack Chesman.
Visitation is from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, at Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 6 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, in Tappan.
Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, in Nanuet.
